So we completed production on our first short last week. Still not entirely sure of what to make of it all. Stressful; challenging; of course, but the abiding feeling is how much fun it was. We assembled a great crew without whom it would have been impossible to make it happen. Our actors were a total delight, our extras patient and the weather exactly what was required. Even our untrained feline actor was exceptional. I'm still having sleepless nights worrying about whether I have the coverage for everything so the next few weeks will be fairly crucial in terms of establishing the shape of the film and seeing if it hangs together well.
